Our Commitment
Temperature Control Services, Inc. is committed to making tempcontrolservice.com and our online services accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to get information about heating and cooling their home, request service, and contact us — regardless of ability, assistive technology, or device.
Conformance Target
This website is designed and developed to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and with the requirements of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as currently understood. WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and combinations of these.
We currently consider this site to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard — see Known Limitations below — and we are working to close those gaps.
Measures We Take
Temperature Control Services, Inc. takes the following measures to support accessibility:
- Treating accessibility as a continuous improvement effort, not a one-time project.
- Using semantic HTML, accessible landmark regions, descriptive page titles, and clear heading order.
- Providing meaningful
alttext for informative images and emptyaltattributes for decorative images. - Ensuring keyboard operability of menus, buttons, forms, and other interactive elements.
- Maintaining a visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- Designing for sufficient color contrast (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
- Supporting reduced-motion preferences (
prefers-reduced-motion). - Using ARIA only when it adds meaning that native HTML cannot provide.
- Testing pages with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation as part of development.
- Reviewing and updating accessibility as the site evolves.
Technologies Used
Accessibility of this site depends on the following technologies working together with your web browser and any assistive technology installed on your device:
- HTML
- WAI-ARIA
- CSS
- JavaScript
If you find any feature does not work with your browser or assistive technology, please contact us — we want to know.
Known Limitations & Alternatives
Despite our best efforts, you may encounter areas of the site that do not yet fully meet our target standard. Known limitations include:
- Embedded third-party content (online-booking widgets, maps, review widgets, social embeds, financing application forms) is provided by third parties and may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If you cannot access information through an embedded third-party tool, please call us at (919) 529-4700 or email [email protected] and we will assist you directly.
- Older blog posts and archived documents may not be fully optimized for assistive technologies. We review legacy content as part of ongoing remediation and provide accessible alternatives on request when reasonably available.
- User-submitted images or comments may not always have text alternatives because we cannot fully control the quality of third-party contributions. Please notify us if you encounter one.
If you encounter an issue, please tell us — we will work to provide the information in another format or to fix the underlying issue.
Assessment & Ongoing Review
Temperature Control Services, Inc. assesses accessibility through a combination of self-evaluation, automated scanning of new pages during the publishing process, and manual review of high-traffic and conversion pages. We review this statement at least annually and update it whenever the site changes materially or a new issue is reported.
